After graduating from the University of Calgary, Jay began his career in the employee benefit and retirement field with London Life in Calgary over 20 years ago. After several moves across Canada with London Life, he settled in Edmonton where he moved to a national benefits consulting firm helping it grow into one of Canada’s leading consulting practices before joining BenefitLink as a partner in 2000.
Jay is highly experienced in the design, risk analysis, management and delivery of benefit and retirement solutions. As one of the founders, Jay takes great pride in being timely, and building solutions together.
Lisa has been in the employee benefit and group retirement field for almost 20 years, earning her Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation in 2006.
Lisa began her career in the industry with one of the largest group insurance providers in Canada, where her primary focus was employee benefits. Since that time, she has taken various roles and responsibilities both in the benefits and retirement fields both at the insurer and at the consultant/advisory level. Her unique skill set is unrivalled in the consulting community. Lisa prides herself in her timely communication skills, and dedication to building ongoing customer solutions. Candice Martin, ACS
Candice began her career in the employee benefits and retirement field over 20 years ago. After working with one of Canada’s largest benefit consulting firms as well as one of Canada’s leading group insurance suppliers she joined BenefitLink in 2005.
Her years of experience in the benefits and retirement fields have taught her the value of dedication to superior client service and she strives to achieve continual excellence in customer satisfaction with each client interaction. She plays a pivotal role in assessing and identifying claiming patterns, analyzing quarterly and year-end reports, implementation and benchmarking. In addition to group benefit and retirement plans she is well versed in individual life and disability insurance.
Candice’s dedication, excellence, responsiveness, and everyday issue solving ability are very much appreciated by both employers and employees.
Holding a senior position within the company, Christine analyzes and evaluates all financial aspects of BenefitLink products and plans. Christine has an extensive background in accounting and client services. Building upon her knowledge of emerging trends, continued research and application of such has made Christine a key staff member that directly builds and influences our products and services offered to clients which includes, but is not limited to, retirement plans, benefit reviews and claim assessments.
Christine assists and supports all staff within various aspects of their ongoing roles, product development and carries out company specific training on policy and product handling for new and incumbent employees.
Trevor joined BenefitLink 15 years ago and manages our Benefits and Pension Solutions. Trevor has over 20 years of experience representing two of the country’s largest providers of Employee Benefits and Pensions and as a Consultant with an International Consulting firm working with clients of various sizes and needs. Trevor is experienced in the design and management, contractual and funding techniques of both traditional, flexible benefit and group retirement solutions.

Kevin started in the financial planning and benefit consulting field in 1992. He majored in Economics at the University of Manitoba and has attained his Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP).
Kevin’s experience has provided him with a strong knowledge of traditional and hybrid benefit plan designs. His strong interpersonal skills allow him to communicate with plan members in a clear and concise manner. He demonstrates the ability to adapt his presentation style to communicate effectively with employees of varying educations and vocational backgrounds, leaving them with a feeling of genuine interest in their benefit and financial concerns.
